PROJECTION SCREENS

Display Technologies Projection Screens are designed for professional system integrators who demand the highest levels of technical performance and greatly value ease of installation and integration. With a range of industry-leading image surfaces and masking and fixed frame models, there is a DT Screen for every project.

KEY FEATURES

  • Detailed performance testing data is available for all image surfaces.
  • Tool-free installation of all image surfaces using a proven silicone edge push-to-fit system.
  • Front-loading image surfaces are used to aid installation and avoid floor dust pickup.
  • Magnetic frame covers for perfect image framing and ease of maintenance.
  • Building on the wall for masking screens minimises the size of the install team and removes the final "deadlift" of a complete frame.
  • The proprietary Mask Position Logic control platform simplifies masking and removes the reliance on setting presets during installation—IP and RS232 interfaces as standard.
  • Compact sizes and efficient packaging simplify storage and transport to the job site.
  • Include standard 3-year return to base warranty.
  • Made in the UK

ARCHITECTURAL INTEGRATION

Display Technologies' solutions for Architectural Integration significantly increase installers' options for discreetly integrating projectors into immersive environments. These solutions help reduce noise, minimise used space, and improve the aesthetics of any projection system.

KEY FEATUREs

  • Hush Box models which contain the noise and heat of the projector.

  • Airflow management solutions to ensure stable operating temperatures are maintained.

  • Port Hole Glass solutions separate a projection booth from the main cinema without losing image quality.

  • Mirror mounting solutions reduce the projector's install depth, enabling otherwise impossible throw ranges.

  • The proprietary Actuator Commander control platform enables complex motorised solutions—IP and RS232 interfaces as standard.

  • Include standard 3-year return to base warranty.

  • Made in the UK

Display Technologies FAQ's

What is Mask Position Logic?

Mask Position Logic (MPL) is Display Technologies’ proprietary control algorithm that lives inside every DT Dynamic masking screen. Instead of recalling a handful of stored presets, the system calculates—on the fly—the exact position each motorised mask must move to so the screen’s visible aperture perfectly matches any aspect ratio within its range (typically 1.33:1 to 2.40:1). This “aspect driven” approach means installers simply send an IP or RS 232 command for the desired ratio and the screen works out the rest, slashing setup time, removing human error, and letting viewers jump between formats with a single button press.

What is tool free silicone edge screen surface fitting?

Display Technologies equips its projection screens with Silicone Edge surfaces that are genuinely “tool free.” Each surface is CNC cut and finished with a thin silicone keder sewn all the way round; when the aluminium frame is on the wall, the installer simply presses this gasket into a front facing channel by hand. The gasket locks in place and tensions the fabric instantly, so there’s no need for springs, hooks or special pull bars. Because the light, rollable surface goes in after the rigid frame, one person can keep it off the floor, avoid marks, and swap or remove it for behind screen access in seconds—dramatically reducing labour, risk of damage and overall install time compared with conventional tuck or laced screens.

How do mirror solutions from Display Technologies enable greater mounting positions for projectors?

Display Technologies’ mirror mounts work by folding the projector’s light path with precision first surface mirrors, so the projector chassis no longer has to sit directly in line with the screen. A Side Mirror turns the beam through 90 °, letting installers bury the projector in a bulkhead or alcove with the lens parallel to the wall, ideal for very tight depths. The Vertical Mirror Mount lets the projector fire straight up (or down) into a mirror before the image travels to the screen; that vertical orientation cuts the required throw depth and even allows the machine to live outside the room, behind a port glass window or hush box. For fully hidden installs, the Motorised Mirror Drop parks the projector in a ceiling pocket and deploys a dual mirror periscope only when powered, removing overhead clutter while giving freedom to place seating or décor beneath. Across the range the mirrors are >97 % reflective and optically flat, so brightness, colour and focus stay intact, and each mount has a universal interface and tool free alignment that make these unconventional positions practical on site.
