The DP4000 IA 16-Channel x 250 Watt Intelligent Amplifier with DSP and In-Room Calibration is the heart of a dARTS system. The amp controls all aspects of the dARTS system. The DSP, or digital signal processor, allows the amp to fine-tune each speaker to within 0.5dB of its reference response. All functions are done in the digital domain — such as the crossovers, EQ, time correction and anechoic calibration — which are custom-written for each driver in the system. It produces a total of 4000 watts with 16 output channels of 250 watts each.

Once installed, our latest version of Audyssey® MultEQ Pro® room calibration software takes over, and the specific sonic footprint of the room is taken out of the equation. MultEQ® cancels the room to achieve the perfect “reference” listening experience, providing a precise, acoustic performance matching the sonic quality of a precision-tuned movie theatre in any room.
