How Busan Utlises the Fabric Walls System
The Busan Cinema Room utilises Fabric Walls panels enhanced by LED strips at the intersection between walls and ceilings, with spacing strips adding style by completing the join between panels. These LED strips and spacers are a key element of Fabric Walls, which can be applied to create various visual styles. Fabric Walls elements like this are pre-assembled onto the fabric frames at the factory, ensuring a faster and more efficient installation on-site.
Fabric Walls is a modular system, and this design is effortless to adapt to any-sized space by adding or removing rows of panels and LED strips, or adjusting panel widths. The Busan Cinema Room can be easily scaled to suit any home theatre or commercial cinema project, offering unmatched flexibility and design simplicity.

A Design for All Budgets
The Busan Cinema room has been designed with an ideal balance and spacing of LED lighting to deliver a fantastic, dynamic lighting experience. However, at SRND, we understand that dynamic lighting may not be required or that you may need to find some value engineering options. The Busan Cinema can be specified with more cost-effective colour-changing LED or with a choice of white-only strips.
The system budget can also be optimised by adjusting the number of rows of LED in the room or the overall length of the LED strips.

Tailored Technology Specification
SRND isn’t just about Fabric Walls and LED lighting. SRND offers a range of products, systems and solutions across video and audio as well.
In the Busan Cinema room example, two different audio-visual specifications have been outlined.
In the larger Busan Cinema design, video is delivered through a Freya projector from Barco, a DCI-compliant Screening Room-grade DLP projector with RGB laser illumination and 4K resolution—an exceptional cinema experience. The Barco Freya projector is hidden in an adjacent projector room; a Display Technologies Porthole Glass separates the two rooms, allowing for a crystal-clear image while heavily mitigating leaked sound and heat from the projector.
Fantastic visuals from the Barco Freya are paired with a full MAG Theatron system, complete with Avalon, screen wall array and subwoofers. MAG Theatron systems deliver high-quality audio through innovative designs and a commitment to excellence, making them perfect for premium cinema experiences.
With less space to work with, the smaller, green Busan design utilises more space-saving technology without compromising on performance.
The projector used is a Barco Balder, a single-chip projector with laser phosphor illumination.
The Barco Balder projector is mounted overhead using a Display Technologies Ceiling Mount. Offering a low-profile solution, a DT Ceiling Mount allows projectors to be integrated above ideal viewing positions without being overly invasive.
A Phasetech audio system has been specified in this smaller space. Phasetech offers a full range of in-wall speakers and subwoofers, saving space while delivering on audio performance.
Both designs use the Display Technologies Frontier screen. The Frontier's front-loaded, ATRef acoustically transparent screen is an ideal solution for installation in front of LCR speakers. The screen surround, finished with veBlack velvet magnetic fitting covers, offers brilliant contrast against the projected image, allowing for a range of colours, light and dark, to be used on the Fabric Walls panels surrounding the screen.
As always, with an SRND-designed room, C-ATS acoustic treatment completes the audio package.</p>
